No Tobacco Day Award has been extended

The deadline for submitting nominations for the World No Tobacco Day Award has been extended.
Observed annually on May 31, World No Tobacco Day is marked with the presentation of the “World No Tobacco Day Award,” a prestigious recognition given in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) to honor individuals and organizations working in the field of tobacco control.

Purpose and Criteria of the Award

The main objective of this award is to recognize and appreciate the efforts of those engaged in tobacco control, while also encouraging continued commitment to protecting communities from the harmful effects of tobacco. Individuals, organizations, and even government institutions involved in such efforts are eligible to be nominated.
This year’s theme for World No Tobacco Day is: “Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction.” Applicants should have carried out or be engaged in activities aligned with this theme.

Deadline Extension

The original deadline for submissions was May 3. However, to provide more opportunities for participation, the deadline has now been extended to May 13, 2026, at 14:00 hours.
Interested applicants are requested to complete the designated form and submit it via email to: [email protected], according to the Health Protection Agency.
