Handover of MR Vaccines and Medical Consumables Donated by the Government of India to the Government of Maldives New

At today’s handover ceremony, the Minister of Health, Family and Welfare expressed sincere appreciation to the Government of India for its timely in-kind support to the Maldives’ ongoing measles response efforts.
The donation of Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccines, laboratory consumables, personal protective equipment, and essential medical supplies comes at a critical time as the Maldives strengthens its public health response and preparedness against emerging infectious disease threats.
These supplies will directly enhance our capacity to prevent transmission, improve disease detection and surveillance, and ensure the protection of frontline health workers who continue to serve on the frontlines of the response.
The Minister reaffirmed the importance of the longstanding Maldives–India partnership, which continues to play a vital role in strengthening health systems and advancing public health and health security in the Maldives.
The Government of Maldives extends its sincere gratitude to the Government and people of India for their continued solidarity and support.
