    WHO donates Interagency Emergency Health Kits to the Health sector of Maldives



    World Health Organization has donated Interagency Emergency Health Kits to the Health sector of Maldives.

    At an event held today at the Ministry of Health, the donation was handed over to Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim by WHO Representative to Maldives Dr. Arvind Mathur.

    WHO has been a key partner of health sector of Maldives, providing technical and financial support in every aspect.

    The latest donation consists of medicines, devices and equipment needed for large scale Emergencies. It also includes the necessary equipment for minor surgeries during such events. The donation is worth USD 53,259.90 (MVR 821,253.78).

    The Emergency Health Kits will be located at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, some Regional Hospitals and some Atoll Hospitals of North and South Zone.

    Ministry of Health is currently working on dispersing the Kits to Health facilities.
